Directions To Chalet From Freshwater East Road [A477]
1. From Carmarthen you need to head for Pembroke Dock and the A477.
2.Once on the 477 you will pass through [amongst others] a village called 'Broadmoor'. Keep following the A477 towards Pembroke Dock until you get to a village called 'Milton'. Just after the main road enters 'Milton' look for a left turn signposted 'Lamphey'. Take this turn then follow the road until it meets a 'T' junction, turn Right here. This will be signposted 'Lamphey and Freshwater East'
3.Follow this road right into 'Lamphey' where you will reach another 'T' junction. Turn Left and follow the road past the Church and over the Bridge.
4.Just after the Bridge, you will see a Right turn signposted 'Freshwater East', take this then turn immediately Left again. [If you miss the right turn you will pass the 'Murco' garage and 7-11 shop]
5.Follow this road to Freshwater East village and look for a Right turn signposted 'Freshwater East Beach', take this turn.
6.Take the road down the hill and past the public beach car parks.
7.The road turns right past the end of the car parks and goes across a narrow bridge. Follow the road over the bridge, then turn Right into 'Freshwater Bay Holiday Village'. Follow the road up past the 'Long house Pub' and up into the site. The Chalet is situated on the 3 or 4th cul-de-sac/car park on the right [the car parks have numbered signs at their entrances], turn into the appropriate car park then look for the numbered car parking space for chalet 173. It is about a third of the way down the car park on your left. NOTE: the Parking space for the chalet 173 is [more or less] in front of the join between Chalet 171 and 172.
NOTE: If you miss the left turn at 'Milton' [or would rather stick to 'A' roads as long as possible], keep on the A477 towards 'Pembroke Dock' until you see a Left turn signposted 'Pembroke' [A4075]. Take this left turn and follow the road to a Round-a-bout outside 'Pembroke'. Take the Left exit here and follow this road [the A4075] to Lamphey, go past the church and over the Bridge, then follow from 4. Above.

If you want to see, or print out a map of the area, click on the link to 'Google Maps', under 'Finding Us' in the 'Links Menu', this will take you straight to the Google maps page showing a great Ariel photo view of Freshwater East Bay. The region that comes up as default is biased slightly towards the beach, just click the 'left' arrow to take the view over the holiday village itself, also note the 'A' bubble places us a couple of rows further from the beach than we actually are !. To Change the view to a map just click the 'Map' button at the top of the photo view, you can then use the 'plus' and 'minus' zoom symbols to zoom closer in for a more detailed look at the area or zoom out to get an idea of the Chalet location in relation to the surrounding area.
If you want to use your 'Sat Nav' to find your way to the Chalet type in the post code SA71 5LU, but a word of caution, the first time we ever came to stay at Freshwater East we did exactly that, and though we did get there in the end, the route the 'Sat Nat' chose was far from logical, bringing us to the Chalet from the very narrow 'Stackpole' road. It may be better to use your Sat Nav just to get you on to the 'Pembroke Dock' road [A477] then follow our directions for the final leg of the journey.
