The Pembrokeshire National Park provides a huge adventure playground for all ages and abilities, ranging from the very young to the more advanced in years. There is a wide range of beautiful beaches which have their own page dedicated to them, you can walk all, or part of the Pembrokeshire Way. There are set walking routes all over the National Park ranging in difficulty from a challenging hike to a simple stroll to take in the magnificent scenery.
The Coastal Cruiser bus can drop you off at different parts along the Pembrokeshire Way.
Castlemartin Firing Range is open when the army is not firing. It provides more than 3 miles of Pembrokeshire Coast National trail where you can see stunning rock formations including the Green Bridge of Wales, protected ancient monuments such as St Govan's Chapel, Filmstone Bay Fort and more recent military heritage sites including the cold war bombing targets.
There is an archaeological and conservation trail to lead you across the Range, providing information on its history and wildlife. Castlemartin's Cliffs provide some of the UKs best Sea Cliff climbing as seen on the BBC's documentary 'Secret Britain.'
The coast path between Stack Rocks and Broad Haven South is open to cyclists and horse riders as well as walkers.
The National Park runs an extensive programme of activities and events for adults and children including rock pool safaris,crab catching, bat walks and guided walks to name a few. Colby Woodland Gardens. These informal woodland gardens bursting with colour and wildlife, are set in a beautiful, tranquil valley. Learn about its fascinating industrial past in the Bothy exhibition.
Near Amroth.
Stackpole Estate and Bosherton Lily Ponds. Consists of 2000 acres of landscaped estate in the 18th century Romantic style with water features, bridge, grotto, ice-house, wooden gardens and summer house. The Bosherton Lily Ponds were featured on one of the BBCs documentary's, Secret Britain as this stunning feature was actually created by flooding 3 valleys for the purpose of creating the Lily ponds to enhance the view from the main house. Upton Castle Gardens. The grounds and gardens are in a secluded wooded valley which runs down to a tributary of Carew River.
National Botanic Gardens of Wales. This is a bit further to travel, about 40-50 minutes drive in Carmarthen, but is well worth doing, as these gardens are spectacular.
